Verdant Structural Engineers partnered with Builders Without Borders to help design the first straw bale house in Nepal and rebuild communities that were affected by the 2015 earthquakes. The design utilizes a wide variety of local and natural materials, such as straw bale for the walls and bamboo for the roof and attic framing, in order to make safe and affordable housing with minimal environmental impact.
